MUSEUM INFORMATION
The Hart County Historical Society & Museum is located in historic downtown Munfordville, Kentucky in the 1893 Chapline Building in the block south of the court house on 31W at 109 Main Street. The Mary Willia Branstetter Genealogy Library is located next door to the Museum at 105 Main Street. The Society consists of our Museum, Genealogy Library and Battle for the Bridge Preserve located at 810 Rush Island Bend Road. We are an educational, 501(c)3 organization established in 1968. Our mission is to preserve and share the history and lifeways of Hart County through the education of our audience and development of our heritage resources. We welcome you at the museum and the genealogy library. If you wish to complete "in person" research in the genealogy library please phone us at 270-524-0101 to make an appointment.
